The Reports overview: your estate in headline numbers
The Reports overview opens with headline KPI cards - annual spend, products, vendors and customers - so you can size up your whole estate in a glance.
The Reports overview is the first thing you see on the Reports page, and it now opens with a row of headline KPI cards that sum up your estate in a few numbers. They are drawn from your active register (archived tools are left out), so they always reflect what you are actually running today.
Annual spend is your annualised run-rate: each tool's cost converted to a yearly figure from its billing cycle, then totalled. One-off costs are excluded because they are not a recurring commitment, and currencies are shown separately rather than summed, so a mixed estate reads as, for example, a pound figure plus a dollar figure rather than one meaningless total.
Products is simply how many tools you are actively tracking. Vendors counts the distinct suppliers behind them, which is a quick sense of how consolidated (or sprawling) your supply is. Customers counts how many of your configured customers have at least one tool assigned, so if you use the customer field it tells you how many accounts your software estate serves.
Below the KPI cards, the overview continues with the automated-alerts status, three at-a-glance stats for what is on the horizon, and the upcoming timeline of renewals and cancellation deadlines. Together the cards give you the shape of your estate, and the timeline tells you what needs a decision soon.
Reports is an expandable group in the sidebar rather than a set of tabs, and each lens is its own page: Overview, Spend over time, Expenditure, Liability and Cashflow. The overview's headline cards are available on every plan; the deeper spend and commitment reports, and the notification log at the foot of the overview, are paid reporting features, so on the Starter plan those show an upgrade card in place of the data.
