Inviting teammates, roles and seats
How admins invite people, the difference between admin and member roles, and how adding or suspending people affects your billed seats.
Admins can invite people from Settings under Team members. Enter a name, work email and an optional job title, then send the invite. If email delivery is switched on, the person receives an invite link; if it is in preview mode, you will see a link on screen that you can copy and share directly so they can still get in.
There are two roles. Admins can invite, edit and remove members, change roles, suspend and reactivate people, edit the company profile and review everyone's suggestions. Members can use the app and see the team list read-only, but cannot manage other people or billing.
A few actions are blocked to keep you safe: you cannot change your own role, and you cannot demote, suspend or remove the last remaining active admin. That guarantees there is always at least one admin who can manage the workspace.
Suspending a member is a reversible way to switch off access without deleting anything. A suspended person keeps their data and their billed seat but cannot sign in, and loses access within about a minute. Reactivate them and they are straight back in.
Removing a member deletes their access for good. Like suspension, it takes effect within roughly a minute rather than waiting for their session to expire.
Seats drive billing. Each paid plan includes a number of seats in its base price (3 on Team, 5 on Growth, 10 on Scale), and that included number is also the billing floor. When you invite people beyond the included seats, each extra seat adds the plan's per-extra rate, and if you have a live subscription the seat count on your bill updates automatically. If an invite would exceed your plan's user limit, you will be nudged to upgrade rather than blocked with an error.
